Desiré Taylor, PhD

Desiré Taylor, PhD, is a psychologist on the medical staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano. Prior to joining Baylor Scott & White, she completed her doctoral training at the University of Texas at Austin. She completed training in Health Psychology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado and was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System where she worked as a Behavioral Health Consultant in an integrated primary care setting. She is focused on addressing the complex psychosocial issues associated with diseases. In general, her practice is composed of science-based diagnostic and therapeutic services aimed at coping with medical illness, health behavior change and motivation enhancement and improving overall health and quality of life. Dr. Taylor’s special interests include the treatment of insomnia and psycho-oncology. She provides both individual and group-based treatments. Dr. Taylor is passionate about integrated approaches to care and seeks to collaborate with referring providers to best address patient needs.
