Laura Whitus, M.Ed, ATC, LAT

Laura received her Master’s in Education from Texas State University, where she did work on community outreach events for youth regarding health and fitness. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education, Athletic Training emphasis in 2007 from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. At USC, she completed clinical rotations with the Gamecock track, baseball and football teams, in addition to assisting in the orthopedic clinic and working with local high schools. Before coming to Baylor Scott & White, Laura one of the Sports Medicine Instructors and Athletic Trainers at Anderson High School in Austin. She currently works with local schools and athletic clubs for athletic training coverage, as well as doing community outreach events regarding health and wellness for the Austin/Round Rock area. She holds state and national certifications in athletic training and is a state certified Sports Medicine Instructor.
