A Mission that turned into marriage

I worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for 25 years, and I’ve been a Ham(Amateur)Operator for 55+ years. When I first started working in Galveston I was asked to help in the Emergency Communication Operating Center(volunteer, before internet). Over the years I wound up heading that center, and with some help, broadcasted during hurricanes, etc. Another task I enjoyed was communicating for the Missionary Net for the Shriners Burn Hospital across the street. I also came into contact with Dr. Grubbs of the Spirit ship, helping with his kids and obtaining medication for Malaria, etc.
I’m proud of these two people dedicating so much of their time and expertise for a noble cause, and found each other in doing so. THANK YOU
